Our 2nd annual Facebook Fan Drive to Benefit the Liberty Children's Home is underway. We will donate $1 for every fan of our family of businesses - The Phoenix, Wine de Vine, Caliente, Red Ginger, and Blue Water Grill - as of noon on Christmas Eve. A bonus this year: if we get to 6,000 fans, we'll double the donation and contribute $2 for every fan.

The Key Lime Pie from Blue Water Grill was selected as the Best Dessert in San Pedro by Ambergris Today. And the Apple Cheesecake at Red Ginger was #3. Eating dessert first, why not? That's the only way to make sure you have enough room for our sweet treats.

On Monday, November 7, 2011, a group of 4 women and 1 man successfully completed the Blue Water Grill Cocktail Challenge. Stephanie Wong, Nicole Annarino, Piper Sheffield, Kym Carey, and Big Mike tried all 10 new cocktails on the Blue Water Grill Drink Menu. They won a host of prizes, in addition to hugs and high-fives. We congratulate these outstanding individuals for their dediction to our cocktails.
Blue Water Grill turned 10 on November 1, 2011 and we hosted a big party. More importantly, we gave out Stunner Shades. Turn up the volume.

Sandra Meggs, chef at Blue Water Grill, and Joselito Torres, chef at Red Ginger, both completed their Culinary Institute of America Pro Chef Level I and II training. The training was offered here in Belize through the Organization of American States and the Belize Tourism Board.

The Lifeline Foundation is hosting its annual fundraising dinner on November 4th in Belize City. This year's event is called "A night in Istanbul". Kelly is a Director of Lifeline Foundation. Our woodshop at The Phoenix created and installed the lettering for the new polyclinic sign, ahead of the grand re-opening ceremony on October 7th.

Blue Water Grill sponsored a summer reading camp for youth in San Pedro. Thanks to the Ministry of Education for organizing the camp. As always, we're thrilled to have the opportunity to support our community.

Every summer for the past 12 years, students from Smith College put on Coral Reef Ed-ventures - a summer camp in San Pedro for local youth. This year, over 100 kids in San Pedro participated. We send a huge thank you to the professors and students from Smith who work hard to put on the camp and do so much for our kids and our community. Looking forward to seeing them back here in 2012.
